“A Garden That Eats Itself" (2026)

Kara Schutter is an illustrator and designer based in Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from the College for Creative Studies in 2019 with a BFA in Illustration.

She creates and sells her artwork under the brand Daughter of Pearl. She also takes on select freelance design and illustration projects, bringing the same bespoke approach to collaborative work.
